Nosing in on Australian lives

The week has flown and I’ve been working hard in rain-patched and windy Vienna. Physical labour has been stocking up wood against the possibility of another cold winter here. Then I’ve submitted some stories to contests and litmags, and yes, I’ve been working on my paper for the BASA Conference in Cornwall next week. I’ll be looking at Australian lives in the short stories of Janette Turner Hospital and linking this to the sense of smell. Remember Proust’s madeleine? Now have a go at what the smell of frangipani does to you.
