Whimsical wisdom

I’ve just finished reading Marie Phillips’ book, Gods Behaving Badly, which I heard about at Bookarazzi. I’d picked it up at Heathrow on the way out to Sydney and had started, but then life got in the way. A couple of weeks ago I started reading chapters before going to sleep at the end of the day. It was such fun and it left me with a smile on my face, no doubt contributing to a good mood in the morning. It makes me want to go back and bone up on my scant mythology. And there were all these little important bits that snuck up on me to make me think while all the action was going on, and I’d tell them, yes, yes, I have taken note. Whimsical wisdom was just the thing I’d been needing.
