My smell paper published!

I am thrilled to announce that my paper, “Olfactory Imagery in the Australian Lives in Selected Short Stories of Janette Turner Hospital” has now been published in Vol. 2 of Australian Studies, the online journal of the British Australian Studies Association (BASA).

The original paper was presented in 2006 in Cornwall at the BASA Conference on Australian Lives and led to the completion of my PhD thesis at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, in 2009.

I am grateful to all those who stood by me and supported me, both personally and academically, during my studies and hope that my insights will give rise to further research by scholars interested in the links between olfaction, literary works, expatriation, belonging and, most importantly for me, just longing to “be”.
